Where to Stay Near Silverwood: Coeur d'Alene Homes, Cabins and Family Getaways
Home › Traveler Guides › Where to Stay Near Coeur d'Alene for a Silverwood Trip

Silverwood might be the reason you're coming to North Idaho, but it doesn't have to fill your whole vacation. Staying in Coeur d'Alene gives you time for the park, a day at the lake and dinner downtown—with a comfortable place to come back to.
Silverwood Theme Park is in Athol, north of Coeur d'Alene on US-95. Our CDA homes require a drive to the park, and the time varies by property and traffic. If you're planning several consecutive park days, consider how much driving you're comfortable with. For a trip that includes Silverwood alongside other activities, Coeur d'Alene can be a convenient home base.
We manage the properties below and help guests choose between them. Here's what makes each worth considering, whether you're bringing young children, traveling as a couple or getting the extended family together.
A quick look at your options
All the properties below are in Coeur d'Alene except the Bottle Bay cabin, which is in Sagle.

Family homes with room to spread out
A kitchen and separate bedrooms can make traveling with kids easier. You can have breakfast before leaving for Silverwood, keep snacks in the fridge and put younger children to bed while everyone else stays up.
4BR House with Free Parking near Lake CDA
This four-bedroom home has two full bathrooms and two living rooms. That second living room is useful when the kids want a movie and the adults would rather sit and talk.
The kitchen and coffee bar make mornings straightforward. Outside, there's a fenced backyard with a BBQ and fire pit for evenings when you'd rather stay home than go out to dinner. A pack 'n play and beach towels are provided, too.
The house is pet-friendly, so it's worth considering if your dog is joining the trip. Check the current policy and fees before booking.

Two other family options are worth a look. Hot Tub and Arcade Family Fun House in CDA has a hot tub and indoor games—helpful for a quiet day between outings or an afternoon when the weather changes your plans. Cozy 4BR CDA Home with Fireplace, Fenced Yard & Fast WiFi offers another four-bedroom option.
Take a look at the beds before deciding. Two homes with the same number of bedrooms can work quite differently for a family with young children versus a group of adults.
Eagles Nest: hot tub evenings in the woods
Eagles Nest sleeps up to five and has a private hot tub, river views and a wooded setting. It's a good choice if you'd like somewhere quiet to unwind after a busy day at the park.
You can spend an evening in the geodesic dome with its wood-burning stove, gather on the screened porch or explore the walking trails. During warmer weather, the natural swim pond gives you another reason to spend time outside.
The vintage 1952 trailer beside the pond is a daytime hangout, not an extra bedroom.
Eagles Nest shares the larger property with Sasquatch Lodge, which may host other guests during your stay. The homes have designated areas and amenities; the pool and other Sasquatch Lodge facilities aren't included when you reserve Eagles Nest alone.
Pets and smoking aren't permitted. Families with young children should consider the supervision needed around the pond, hot tub and outdoor terrain.
The Flats: a smaller stay for couples and solo travelers
You don't always need a full vacation home. If your plans involve spending most of the day out, a studio can give you a comfortable place to sleep and keep a few essentials on hand.
The Flats is our twelve-unit property on East Sherman Avenue in Coeur d'Alene, with keypad entry and individually bookable studios.
Studio 7
Studio 7 has a queen bed, blackout curtains and a white-noise machine. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave for breakfast, drinks and leftovers.
If you plan to cook full dinners, choose a home with a full kitchen instead.

Studio 2
Studio 2 has a full-size bed and is another option for solo travelers or couples comfortable sharing a smaller bed.

There's no on-site laundry at The Flats. Dogs are welcome under the applicable pet policy, with fees and restrictions, so confirm the details for your studio before reserving.
Larger homes for two families or an extended-family trip
When grandparents, cousins or friends join the vacation, start with the sleeping arrangements. Think about who needs a private bedroom, which children can share and how many bathrooms everyone will use.
CDA Extended Stay 5BR
CDA Extended Stay 5BR sleeps up to ten across five bedrooms. It has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, game room and fenced yard.
The extra bedrooms give adults more privacy and make different bedtimes easier to manage. Laundry is also useful if you're staying several nights and fitting in swimming or lake days.

Downtown CDA House with Fire Pit and BBQ
This three-bedroom home near North Idaho College accommodates up to eleven guests. It includes a fenced backyard, fire pit and BBQ.
Consider it if you want to include downtown and lake activities during your visit. Since the home sleeps eleven across three bedrooms, check the bed configuration carefully to make sure it suits your group.

Sasquatch Lodge
Sasquatch Lodge sleeps up to ten and has a heated Modpool, barrel sauna, cold plunge, wood-fired soaking tub, pickleball court and indoor arcade.
Leave yourself some time to enjoy the house if you stay here. A slower day at the property can be welcome after a full day of rides, walking and waiting in lines.
Review the listing for amenity instructions and additional charges, including pool heating.
The Estate: two homes together
The Estate combines Sasquatch Lodge and Eagles Nest into one reservation for up to fifteen guests.
Having two homes can work well for an extended family or two households traveling together. You can gather for meals and activities, then have separate places to settle in at night.
A cabin for a Silverwood and Lake Pend Oreille trip
If lake time is a big part of your plans, take a look at our Cabin With Hot Tub and Private Dock in Bottle Bay.
This cabin is in Bottle Bay, Sagle, on Lake Pend Oreille. It is not in Coeur d'Alene or on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
It's worth considering for a trip with dedicated days at the lake and a visit to Silverwood along the way. The private dock and hot tub give you plenty to enjoy between outings.
Check the route from the cabin to the park before booking, particularly if you're planning multiple Silverwood days.
